# Straight Line Was A Lie - The Beths (Aug 2025)

Heavy use of looping backgrounds with vocals forward
|
|
|
|
|

- Track 1: Title track
|
|
|
|

- Track 2: Mosquitoes
|
|
|
|

- Track 3: No Joy
|
|
more energy thatn previous tracks. monotone but driving. repetitive droning of messaging
|
|
|
|
- Track 4: Metal
|
|
Softer than No Joy. still elevated energy level though. Not my fav.
|
|
|
|
- Track 5: Mother, Pray For Me
|
|
slowed back down, bare arrangment opening. Kinda wish this was the opening track. Keeping with the repetition trend.
|
|
|
|
- Track 6: Til my heart stops
|
|
Pairs wonderfully with track 5. 5 & 6 sort of feel like a different album thatn the rest so far. yearning and longing mimicry with backing track, when guitar comes in it feels more resolved
|
