As [[King Rangrim the Unyielding|Rangrim]]’s successor, King Haldrek ruled with an iron fist, ensuring that the empire remained strong after his predecessor’s passing. He was the architect of the Iron Laws, a set of rigid decrees that dictated trade, labor, and military conscription for all non-dwarven peoples.

- Crushed early uprisings with brutal efficiency, deploying automatons as enforcers for the first time.
- Expanded the Deep Roads, creating a network of fortified checkpoints to monitor movement across the empire.
